Hello, 2025! I took a short break from the blog to put the final touches on the book and website, and I am back with a fun series that will take us to PIG WEEKEND!
First up - The number 1.

Only ONE U.S. president has ever run a marathon! Any guesses who? 😊🏃♂️
It’s…………..
President…………..
number…………..
43!
George W. Bush!
Turns out he started as a baseball player (like his father, George H.W. Bush), but wasn’t good at it. As an adult, he turned to running and completed the Houston Marathon in 1993. At 47 years old, he finished in a very respectable 3:44:52. As president, he apparently was running sub-7 minute miles, according to some race stats! Keep in mind too, he had to have had some speedy Secret Service agents to keep up with him! And the president can’t just go running down the streets of Washington, D.C. either. He would run at the president’s private estate of Camp David and at the Secret Service training center. I’d also venture to guess there’s a gym and a treadmill at the White House.

Keep running with me,
