Run
We're all a little crazy. There's a screw loose. We run even though nothing is chasing us. 7am, 6am, 5am, just numbers. 5K, 10K, 13.1, 26.2, some more numbers. But Read Flying Pig wouldn't exist without these amazing connections that I hold near and dear to my heart! Give them some love, and hey, join the crazies in neon on Saturday mornings! ;-)
Why?
Cincinnati has an extremely vibrant and diverse running community. Most weekends, you're sure to find a race of some kind and you're almost guaranteed to see individuals and training groups cruising down the sidewalks! I've chosen to feature just a few that are extra special to me!
The Flying Pig Marathon has over 25 years of history rooted in Cincinnati. Its course winds through downtown, over the river, and through many beautiful neighborhoods.
Queen City Running Club was my original training group. They led me through a few half marathons and my first (only?) full marathon! They will always be my O.G., but Tri State Running Company is where I've been recently training after moving from Ohio to Kentucky.
Girls on the Run is a very special organization that I have had the privilege to be involved with as a coach and a running buddy.
